The crispy pork binagoongan is still perfect, the sinigang is still eceptional, ampalaya with crispy catfish makes for an exciting veggie dish, then end it with cassava cake or the toffee cake, and what do you get? Great pinoy and Asian fusion cuisine in the reliable tradition of Cafe Juanita, but sans the quirky ambience that has made the original a favorite of so many. They should have painted the walls a dark color, the white, despite the eclectic decor dragged from Kapitolyo, screams NEW, just like the rest of The Fort. The service is still Pinoy slow, which is to say, it's leisurely, but the staff are warm and attentive.
