My husband and I are on a quest for the best burgers in Manila. We have one contender and we decided to try Charlie's to see if it's better. Charlie's is located right beside a 'talyer' but don't worry because they have an air conditioned area for dining. I recommend the Angus Burger with fries. Although a bit expensive, it's worth every bite. If you're really hungry, a side order of Buffalo Wings would be the perfect match for this burger. All in all, I consider Charlie's to be my second best burger =)

Charlie's is located next to a carwash in very busy Kapitolyo. Famed for the burgers, I went and ordered the Black Angus Burger with their "fresh fries" and their Philly Cheese steak sandwich. I expected more from the burger, it was juicy but flavor wise left something to be desired. I didn't like the combination of the cheese they chose and the meat, but that may be just me considering Charlie's is known for their burgers. The Philly Cheese steak on the other hand was phenomenal, the meat was perfectly seasoned and generous. Surprisingly they use Batangas beef and the flavor is incredible, a true melody of beef and spices. I had the starving or large portion, for P430. Do not expect ambiance here, Charlie's is usually packed and I mean expect to be bumping elbows with your neighbors. Parking is difficult as well. If you can wait, Charlie's is best for take out.
